✨ Meet the faces behind MELT! ✨ MELT is truly by artists, for artists.

🎨 Allison and Christine are the owners of Girls Who Paint Murals, a commercial and residential mural company creating artwork across South Carolina and beyond.

🎨 Connor Lock is the owner of SEVEN, a graphic design studio, and STAAHJ, a culinary adventure focused on bringing people together through food and creativity.

Together, we’re wearing a lot of hats to make this festival happen - but it’s all driven by a shared passion for public art, creative expression, and community.

While running our full-time businesses, we’re also committed to building MELT into an annual festival where artists are given the freedom to create, are fairly compensated for their work, and can connect with other creatives from around the country. At the same time, we’re investing back into our community by bringing vibrant public art to the community, supporting local businesses, and creating experiences that bring people together.

We’re learning as we go, growing every day, and couldn’t do it without the support of all of you! Thank you for following along on this journey, believing in the vision, and being patient with us as we continue to build something special.

We have been getting so many amazing artist applications and are so excited to see when one comes through. We are so grateful for you all applying! All of the proceeds go directly back into the festival and paying our artists - we wouldn’t do this without you 🫶🏼

MELT friends! We’re beyond excited to officially announce the NEW location for this year’s MELT Mural Festival! 🔥

We’ll be hosting the festival at Building 64 in the Navy Yard area, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to partner with such an inspiring and creative space. Thank you for sticking with us and supporting us as we navigated a few hurdles along the way; your support means everything.

After careful consideration, we’ve decided to bring the festival back to North Charleston this year! We truly love Goose Creek and are grateful for the collaboration - and will continue to do programming around the area! Unfortunately, the wall opportunities did not ultimately work out as planned.
