09/11/2011

Come to night to mark the day. Observers are welcome.

08/21/2011

Our next Second Sundays at Seven will be on 9/11/2011 and we are seeking submissions about that event. For those of us who were in New York or D.C., there will be eyewitness accounts of what it was like then and during the months after.

08/21/2011

If you wish to write about how it affected you wherever you were, please do so in narrative accounts or a one act play or a poem. We limit plays to ten pages and ask that narratives or poems be less than ten minutes of reading time.

Please submit your creations to this at least one week prior to 9/11/2011 and, if your work is selected, please have the number of copies needed for a reading or performance on the actual evening.

08/21/2011

While we all have heard about heroes and "That fateful day" and all of that, we challenge you to dig deeper to your own feelings about your experience with 911, or the friends you may have lost, in your own words.
We look forward to sharing this evening with all of the Lowcountry artists, and individuals who just have something to say, both from theaters and from high schools.

08/21/2011

On the evening, actors are requested to arrive at 6:30 to get material form writers who wish to have their pieces read by others, and we strongly encourage actors and regular folk to write their own work if this evening is of personal significance to them.

As always, Second Sundays at Seven begins at 7:00 p.m., as the name suggests.
