Six years running, Salt City Trail Racing brings runners into the heart of Allegany State Park for a fall classic on nearly 65,000 rugged acres. Pick your distance: 25K, 50K, or 50 Miler, all on groomed trail, single track, and rolling hills with views for days.

Generous cutoffs mean this course welcomes every pace. Two aid stations keep you fueled all day (yes, there’s ramen and grilled cheese waiting for 50 milers after mile 34), and every finisher goes home with a pair of SCTR socks.

“How hard can 2.5 miles be? 1,650 vertical feet hard.

Assault on Yonah is one of the most unique short races on the calendar, timed only on the way up, with a 35% grade stretch that’ll test everyone from front of pack racers to first timers with trekking poles. Run it, hike it, or bring a weighted pack and ruck it (Ruck Division requires 15 lbs for women, 20 lbs for men, minimum). All finishers get a medal, top 3 get custom handmade awards.

Ann Ongena : Order of the Unchosen 🏔️

10 years. 64 tickets. 183 points. In 2017, an injury wiped her slate clean, every accumulated ticket gone. She started over.

Ann didn’t start running until her 40s, after moving from Flanders, Belgium to Southern California with her husband and young kids. Her first ultra came at 47. Her first 100-miler at 50. Now a grandmother of six, she still guides hikes part-time and still lines up every year, chasing the same start line.

In her words: “My motivation to improve and be better than yesterday is high, with age being my competitor. Becoming an official WS finisher will require me to train smart, with focus on my lacking technical downhill proficiency. It will be a big challenge to make the 30hr cutoff at 63 or older.”

Ten years of showing up. Imagine what it would mean for Ann to finally hear her name called.

Hell Creek 100 hits Sylvan Grove, KS Oct 30-Nov 1, and it’s bringing the most elevation gain/loss of any 100 miler in Kansas (10,120 ft, if you’re counting).

Canada, but make it hills. 🇨🇦⛰️

Say hello to the Caledon Crusher, an epic race along the Caledon Hills section of the Bruce Trail in Mono, Ontario. Pick your fighter: E2E 72K, 50K, or 25K, all singletrack, double track, and more climbing than you’ll want to admit signing up for.

The whole course is marked with white blazes only, so brush up before race day. Seven aid stations stocked by Skratch Labs will keep you moving, and if you’re tackling the E2E, there’s a badge waiting for you at the finish.

Oh, and every registered runner gets a bar of soap from Sue’s Soap Creations. You’ll want it after this one. 🧼 ❤️
