2nd Friday Norman Art Walk 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk is a free, monthly celebration of arts and creativity in the Walker Arts District of Downtown Norman!

2nd Friday Norman Art Walk - a monthly, citywide celebration of art - is a collaboration between artists, art organizations, and businesses, brought to you by the Norman Arts Council. All events are free and open to the public from 6pm to 9pm.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by last week's 2nd Friday Art Walk! There were a TON of amazing new shows happening all around Downtown! We also had a great time celebrating the opening reception here at MAINSITE for "Inherited Forms" by Nosheen Iqbal, "El Jardín de Bo" by Cristina Ayala, and the Student Scholarship Show in the Library Gallery. We can't wait to see you again next month!

The Depot is hosting a posthumous restrospective of the works of Wendy Mahsetky-Poolaw from July 10th through August 29th. The closing exhibit will be August 14th from 6pm-9pm in conjunction with 2nd Friday Norman Art Walk. Working in mixed-media compositions that blended abstraction, movement, and personal symbolism, Mahsetky-Poolaw emerged in contemporary Native art during the 1990s and early 2000s. Her art explored identity, memory, and Indigenous presence. The South room also features Tom Poolaw's art.

TONIGHT, during 2nd Friday Art Walk, see the new exhibition "Selfish Art" at Uncanny Art House by Norman Artist and NAC Artist Grant recipient, Cody Giles! The show features 180 framed photographs and ten years of Polaroids capturing the musicians, artists, and neighbors who make up Norman’s creative community. All framed pieces are priced at $15.
