Vendor applications are now open for our Christmas in July Mistletoe Market on Saturday, July 25.

Set up shop inside the historic Wells Theatre and connect with shoppers looking for unique gifts, handmade treasures, and local finds. The cast is set!

Meet the talented artists bringing Sally and Tom to life at the Wells Theatre on June 19.

Part rehearsal room comedy, part exploration of American history, Sally & Tom follows a scrappy theatre company attempting to create a play about Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson. What starts as a creative process quickly becomes a fascinating conversation about art, power, and who gets to tell our nation's stories.

What if a play could make you laugh, reflect, and spark an important conversation about mental health?

"Every Brilliant Thing" The Tour is making a stop at Norfolk Botanical Garden in partnership with The Up Center! Supported by Virginia Stage Company and sponsored by Rotary Club of Norfolk VA, this engaging one-person production blends comedy, improv, and audience interaction to tell the story of learning to cope with a parent’s suicidal depression.

More than one in five adults in America experience mental illness. At The Up Center, we believe every person deserves to be seen, heard, and cared for through access to mental health and recovery support.

Join us for the Dramatically Able Showcase Performance, NC’s Big Night, on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wells Theatre in Norfolk, VA! 🎭✨

NC’s Big Night is a comedy about several teens, their idol, and a very big concert. Pop idol, “NC”, is coming to town and all of the girls want tickets. Unfortunately, for many girls, this is not so easy. Alas, after all of their hard work to get there, which includes chores, errands, and even a little bribery, the concert may never happen due to an untimely case of the flu. Will the girls ever get to see their idol perform or will he blow the whole thing? This comedy for teens highlights the importance of friendship, teamwork, and ingenuity!

Audio description services will be available.

Access Virginia is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was created to provide open captioning and audio description at live theatrical performances so that Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Blind, Visually Impaired persons can attend performances and experience the wonder of live entertainment at public facilities. Access Virginia will work to expand accommodation services to other public venues.

Audition Alert!

Virginia Stage Company is holding local auditions for Come From Away, the hit Broadway musical based on the incredible true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town that welcomed them in.

We’re looking for strong actor-singers ready to bring heart, humor, and humanity to the Wells Theatre stage.
