Get to know the instructor!
Hi, my name is Kycelynn. I am Shorty's Dance Co.'s instructor.
I'm so thrilled that I almost missed the chance to introduce myself and my history in dance. When I was four years old, I began dancing. Later, in the second grade, I moved to Nocona, where my mother, Shasta Hewitt, became my dance instructor. I have experience in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and point preparation. I have choreographed numerous dances since I graduated from high school, including parent dances, middle school cheer squads, and Nocona youth cheer. Most recently, I had the opportunity to choreograph a dance in the dancing to the stars competition in Bowie, Texas, which helped that pair win the people's choice award. I've always had a strong interest in dance and choreography. When I’m not dancing I’m probably coaching/playing softball or DJing. Here’s to just 3 more weeks until classes begin!! 🎉💗🤍
