just finished cleaning up my Spoons
Tell Leigh Ann to warp her looms
you know there’s gonna be so much more, but be sure and set up the store.
Yackety-yack don’t talk back.

You can rest when the job is done,
but most of all have lots of fun

Well now that we all have this ear worm in our heads we can get back to packing the trailer for our weekend at Fair Lawn!

This coming Friday- Sunday Stone House History will be at Fair Lawn Farm for their annual 18th Century Trades Fair!

This year there will be over 30 artisans who specialize in 18th Century trades and crafts like blacksmithing, leather working, surveying, weaving, woodworking and so many others. It’s a fantastic event if you in the area and we highly recommend you stop by and visit!

Here are some Ewe photos from this morning- they definitely love attention and cry when you walk away, and some of Jay working through some of the oak. Fun fact, Jay also cry’s when you walk away 🤣

Tomorrow Leigh Ann will be back to weaving if she sleeps in a bit you may get to watch her warp a loom, Jay will be back at the oak making more fun things!

The fort is open today from 10-5 where Jay will be working on various treen projects in Oak, Sycamore and Cherry and Leigh Ann will be weaving linen and h**p tapes!

A month ago a big storm came through Ligonier and a tree feel at the Fort. I texted the fort to see if they had any branches that we could use and we were sent a few photos. Matt put his hand on the end of a branch for size reference… fast forward to this evening and we learned a valuable lesson- his hand and Leigh Ann’s shoe are in fact the same size!

Anyways Jay will be working on that oak in a few projects we will see how far along he gets
