Hey Everyone,
Some of you may have heard that one of our colleagues, Steve Brooks (proprietor of the Magic Cafe) is currently recovering from a heart attack. His wife has also been bedridden for the past few months, completely incoherent from a brain injury.
It often surprises magicians that The Magic Cafe is a labor of love, virtually run at cost. The Brooks' don’t have health insurance and the bills are quickly mounting.
Steve has been a friend to me for decades, and I admire his steadfast support of our art and community. His daughter has set up a GoFundMe campaign and I hope you will help however you can:

In all the years I’ve spent as a magician, the one thing that never changes is how deeply connected we are as performers. I have faith that our community will come together to help Steve in his time of need.
I’ve heard numerous stories about Steve generously helping out others with no expectations or strings attached, which is all the more reason to reciprocate in kind.
Again, I ask you to please contribute whatever you can to help him and his wife recover quickly. Help spread the word on social media and get the word out. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
