Brake-Ing News! The retooled Redline Vintage X Dia Compe official collaboration 883 (Nippon Spec) freestyle brake sets are on route in five amazing original-matched colors - blue Anno, Silver Anno, Black Anno, Blue Painted, and White painted. All feature fully engraved caliper text with contrasting paint fill as well as OG style circular Dia Compe cable tension adjusters, and Allen bolt spindles. These sets are amazingly detailed and authentic sets as close to the original Nippon spec as we can achieve in 2026. More images of the full setups - levers, cables, the custom collaboration packaging, etc, will be shared in the week ahead.
SPEC OPTIONS: Recessed spindle hardware is available and we are building a specification page on the website to walk you through options. Some mid to late 80s freestyle forks were designed to accommodate the thicker Allen recess bolt with a larger diameter drill through, and some were not. We have options in both and the site spec page will be up and running early next week ahead of launch so you can get familiar with what you need. There is a short preorder period of abound 5 weeks from launch and limited quantities in all colors for this 2026 batch. This collaboration brake set is exclusively available to preorder through the RedliineVintageBMX.com on September 3rd from noon PST. The set price is $249.99 including free USA shipping.
