Havoc-Auteurs: Presented at the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival in 2025

Havoc-Auteurs is an immersive experience...you’re in a dense fog of electrons, swimming with us and alongside us...charged with ambient sweeps and distorted punctuations. Keyboards and computers become telegraphs, drums become chordal blasts. In the midst of the storm there are thunderous claps of fuzz, delay pedals turn into burundi drummers...nothing is as it seems and everything changes on a dime.

EMOJI: The Hieroglyphs of Our Time, or how I learned to stop worrying and send the risky text ¯\(ツ)/¯: Presented at the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival in 2025

It starts with 🏄🏽‍♀️ and ends with 🎈. Part love letter, part stand-up set, and part iPhone commercial (jk), take a roadtrip through space and time to discover whether emoji are a universal form of communication or a fractured society’s cry for help. It will have you like 🤣, but also like 🥺!

In this hilarious, punchy, and certainly ADHD-friendly show, Aarushi Agni — known for her work across comedy, storytelling, and music — blends her passions into a nerdy deep dive into emoji and their fascinating role in our world (and the risky texts that keep us connected). She takes us through the linguistic quirks of these little symbols and connects them to our political and personal landscape as she grapples with mortality. Sell-out debut at ProjectoFest 2024, and ‘Total Sell Out’ award at NYC Fringe 2025.

SPACE BAR: Presented at the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival in 2025

SPACE BAR is the galaxy's only science-fiction-karaoke-cabaret! A place where all life forms can come together to escape the reality of their own impending doom, and everyone and anyone can be a star provided they buy the two-drink minimum! SPACE BAR has been enjoyed at various bars, arcades, and theaters in the Hudson Valley quadrant for the last decade, surviving nearly as long as our hapless host's first marriage! This episode of SPACE BAR is directed by local newsworthy actor CONNOR BOND, featuring improv comedy duo SHIRLEY MARTINEZ and BRIAN WAITE as questionable companions, and as always, our fearless (clueless) series creator/karaoke host, RAY ROY. Bring only your child-like sense of joy and wonder, and raincoat/poncho if you happen to sit in the front row.

As we gear up for Newburgh Fringe Festival 2026, take a trip down memory lane with us...
Patricia Santos () is a singing cellist and songwriter. During the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival, she presented a set of original songs created in response to her experience being a multiracial/multicultural first generation American, and fighting erasure, censorship, and oppression, often through the lens of literature. Her music blends folk, rock, blues, and avant pop, and the cello settings meld classical training with alternative styles and extended techniques.

Scooby: A Dooby Musical Parody: Presented at the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival in 2025
Four young teens in a van driving somewhere they don’t know find themselves lost, solving another mystery, with a dog! A classic 60’s Saturday morning cartoon reimagined in a satirical and hysterical way.

Thom Fitzgerald’s THE BARNACLE’S TALE: Presented at the first-ever Newburgh Fringe Festival in 2025

Thom Fitzgerald’s THE BARNACLE’S TALE is a ten-minute romp with a sassy, profane, frustrated, very funny barnacle. Barney desperately wants to be bartender at the resort bar he can see from his immovable home on the side of a sunken ship in a Caribbean bay. The only problem – he has no appendages.
Director: Gloria Bonelli
Writer: Thom Fitzgerald
