Living through some rough situations with a special needs cousin and nephew, that should never have been a situation to start with, I could not agree with this more!!! Also donโ€™t play the out of site out of mind card! This world is too full of educational options that you can always teach your children. Also goes for the less fortunate also๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

So I would like to expose a situation. If your children (or grandchildren) donโ€™t learn to play with children with special needs at school, maybe you should spend 10 minutes tonight explaining it to them. Because, although they don't currently live with these children at school, they will find them in their lives for sure. In light of recent events regarding the exclusion of a child with autism from attending a school trip and a child with Down Syndrome being expelled from dance class because she couldn't keep up with it, I feel the need to share this. There are boys and girls that no one invites to birthday parties. There are special children who want to be part of a team but are not selected because it's more important to win than to include these children. Kids with special needs aren't weird, they just want what everyone wants: to be accepted!

Can I ask a question? Is there anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing it, like I did, for all the special children out there? Please teach your children to be kind to these children! Everyone needs love and kindness.
I copied and pasted this with no hesitation! ๐Ÿ’ž...we all need this reminder.

So sorry I'm ridiculously late posting. Yesterday totally slipped my mind. I dropped these rocks by the courthouse on the square in Newark Ohio. Right after my oldest son and his better half finally made it official. So we partied and I spaced sharing when I left these rocks out. One is one of mine and the other i relocated from the Miller Library! Spread kindness everywhere you go.

DIY Marble Swirl Painted Stones

What could be more satisfying than dipping ordinary rocks into swirling paint and revealing beautiful marble patterns? This colorful DIY transforms simple stones into unique works of art that make lovely decorations, garden accents, or calming handmade gifts.

Materials Needed:

Smooth flat rocks or stones
Acrylic paint in several colors
Small bowl or tray of water
Wooden skewer or toothpick
Disposable cups
Gloves (optional)
Paper towels
Clear sealer spray (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Stones
Wash and dry the rocks completely to remove dust or dirt. Smooth stones work best for clean marble effects.

Step 2: Prepare the Paint Colors
Pour small amounts of acrylic paint into disposable cups. Slightly thin the paint with a few drops of water if needed for easier swirling.

Step 3: Create the Marble Swirls
Fill a shallow bowl or tray with water. Carefully drip different paint colors onto the surface of the water. Use a wooden skewer or toothpick to gently swirl the colors into marble-like patterns.

Step 4: Dip the Rocks
Slowly dip each stone into the swirling paint design. Roll the rock gently through the colors to coat different areas with beautiful marbled effects.

Step 5: Let Them Dry
Place the painted stones on paper towels or parchment paper and allow them to dry completely.

Step 6: Add More Details (Optional)
Once dry, you can add dots, metallic accents, words, or tiny painted designs for extra creativity.

Step 7: Seal Your Artwork
Spray the finished stones with a clear sealer to protect the marble design and give them a glossy finish.

These mesmerizing marble swirl stones are a relaxing and creative craft where every piece turns out completely unique. The colorful patterns make each rock feel like a tiny handmade treasure full of artistic magic
