In the midst of storms ravaging South Africa's coast, thousands have lost their homes to floods, but their unbreakable spirit remains. The ocean's power has also ravaged Dune vegetation, yet South Africans' capacity for resilience and unity is inspiring. As the country faces visible suffering, I have faith that people will come together to rebuild and heal. This painting, inspired by a friend's photograph, symbolizes hope and the promise of brighter days after the storm.

It's been a while... I've been honored to care for my mom through rehab after she needed a full hip replacement due to a bad fall. Being a caregiver 24/7 has left little time for my paintbrushes but I'm eager to reignite my passion. I've seen some stunning sunrises and it's inspired me to start painting again.
