Casting designers!!! I am curating fashion designers for a Dance x Fashion collaboration for Stylepointe NYC this September. Designers would be paired with professional choreographers and dancers for a unique alternative to the runway to see their collections in motion. Application at profile by April 30.

Concept:⁣
A collaboration of ‘Fashion and Dance’. StylePointe is an unique project exploring the relationship between these two art forms. StylePointe tells the story behind the designer's collection, through dance!⁣

We ask NY based fashion designers, with complete existing collections, to submit their work samples. Collections that they have created within the past 3 years. Six established and emerging designers will be chosen to collaborate with established choreographers of various dance styles; who will create unique dance vignettes to showcase the fashion collections. The choreographers will choreograph the dance, telling the story/inspiration behind the designer collections.⁣

This hybrid event will have a runway to cat-walk and a stage to dance!

What happens when you merge the world of fashion, dance and music - you get StylePointe which is the creation of the visionary artist Sangeeta Yesley who is the Founder & Director of Creative Performances and produces creative works in NYC, supporting the emerging artists. She is a mother of three children, a passionate dancer, a dance choreographer, a singer, a painter, an actress, a sports person, as well as an administrator and an event organizer.

NYC VIBE was invited to witness firsthand the passion and talent exhibited by the six unique performances under the banner of “Moving Forward”.

StylePointe is a collaboration of ‘Fashion and Dance’ - A true exploration of the relationship that exists between the two worlds of Fashion and Dance. The emerging designers along with the legendary showcased their existing collections, working with choreographers who are inspired by the designers’ creations, and choreographed dance vignettes to present at this month’s StylePointe Fashion Show.
