So he walked over, dropped his favorite soft toy right at her feet, stepped back, and waited. Patient. Confident. Ready.

She picked it up immediately.

Great start. Excellent. This is going perfectly.

She put it in her mouth.

He tilted his head.

She dropped it. Sideways. Off to the left. Nowhere near him. Not even close to the concept of throwing.

He retrieved it anyway because he is a professional. Dropped it at her feet again. Stepped back. Waited. Believed in her.
