Rockstar has dropped a wave of new details about GTA 6, revealing an 80-hour story and a map built on a scale the studio has never attempted before 🔥

According to Rockstar Games, a full playthrough of GTA 6 - including the main story and optional objectives with narrative consequences - clocked in at around 80 hours. That figure dwarfs GTA 5's roughly 30-hour campaign and even surpasses Red Dead Redemption 2's approximately 50-hour story. If it holds for the main story alone, it would mark the longest campaign in franchise history.

The map itself is twice the size of GTA 5's Los Santos and three times larger than RDR2's world, according to Rockstar. Despite that scale, Leonida is being built dense rather than empty, packing its swamps, keys, and cities with activities and detail rather than just open space. Rockstar has said the sheer size is a major factor behind the campaign's length, with travel time alone adding hours to a full playthrough.

GTA 6 reportedly includes more than 600,000 NPC animations, compared to roughly 55,000 in GTA 5 and 300,000 in RDR2. Rockstar has stated its NPCs are individually art-directed rather than assembled procedurally, giving each character distinct behaviors, routines, and personalities rather than recycled crowd fillers

Everything is pointing towards an absolute milestone in gaming with GTA 6!

Rockstar Games Finally Addresses the GTA 6 Leaks 👇

Rockstar Games has broken its silence on the wave of GTA 6 gameplay leaks, calling the situation "heartbreaking" for the team just one day ahead of the official Netflix showcase. In a statement posted to social media on August 26, the studio confirmed the leaked footage was genuine and apologized for how long it has taken to bring the game to the finish line and share official details.

Rockstar acknowledged that the leaks may spoil parts of the experience for some players but asked fans for a little more patience, pointing to the game's November 19 release as the moment to "experience the game for yourselves." The statement closed by thanking the community for its messages of support throughout the ordeal.

The leaks themselves have grown to more than a dozen clips over the past week and focus almost entirely on protagonist Jason. Footage apparently shows him robbing a gas station, hijacking a truck loaded with gasoline, and flying a stunt plane over the game's version of Vice City.

A recurring "Return to Lucia" objective has fueled speculation that the leaker may also have access to gameplay featuring the game's second protagonist, though she has yet to actually appear on screen.

Additional clips have reportedly revealed a detailed open-world map and smaller mechanics, like distinct fishing spots tied to specific species, though Rockstar has not confirmed any of these details itself!

A newly leaked GTA 6 clip shows a small plane cruising over downtown Vice City, giving fans their clearest look yet at the game's skyline 🔥

The clip, part of a growing wave of footage attributed to an anonymous leaker, reportedly follows Jason piloting a biplane through the city in daylight. The camera sweeps around the aircraft as it passes overhead, with the ground below said to reveal dense skyscrapers, busy roads and heavy traffic.

Community reaction has focused heavily on how alive Leonida looks from above, with the downtown skyline drawing comparisons to real-world cities for its scale and density. A separate leaked overhead map is said to lay out five counties, adding to the impression that Rockstar has built an unusually detailed world.

Fans have described the footage as some of the most convincing evidence yet of just how packed and lived-in the map apparently is. The clips are said to originate from a build dating back to 2024, meaning anything shown could have since changed.

GTA 6 is still on track for a release this November, with an official extended look reportedly planned for later this month!

Cost of Hope, STALKER 2's first major story DLC, is releasing today - and reviewers say it delivers the game fans always wanted 🔥

The expansion arrives alongside the free Update 2.0, which upgrades the game's engine from Unreal Engine and restores the long-promised A-Life AI system. Cost of Hope unlocks two regions that were sealed off at launch, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the Iron Forest.

The story follows Skif and runs parallel to the main campaign rather than after it, centering on the long-running war between the Duty and Freedom factions. That conflict largely disappeared from the base game at launch, and its return is what critics point to as the expansion's biggest strength.

Critical reception has been notably stronger than the base game's, with Cost of Hope reportedly sitting around 85 on Metacritic against Heart of Chornobyl's 77. A media outlet called it an extensive and successful expansion with a strong story and atmosphere, only occasionally undercut by moments of frustration.

Some reviewers still flagged occasional bugs and erratic enemy behavior, but the general verdict is that the Zone finally feels dangerous again!

ARC Raiders' latest patch is making the Snitch a lot scarier to run into out in the field 💀

Small update 1.42.0 is live now, and among its changes, the Snitch can call in a Rocketeer when it spots a raider, on top of a new Firefly and Hornet duo it can summon as backup. Snitch Scanners themselves remain unaffected by the change, so the detection mechanic stays the same - it's just what shows up afterward that's changed.

The community's reaction has been a mix of dread and dark humor. Some players expect it to shake up how raids play out, joking that nobody will risk getting spotted by a Snitch anymore. Others have already run into the new combo mid-match and described it as a genuine jump scare, admitting it caught them completely off guard.

There's also plenty of speculation about where this could go next. Some are only half-joking that a Snitch calling in a Queen or Matriarch feels like the logical next step in escalation. Others are surprised the Vaporizer wasn't included in the mix, with several imagining just how brutal a Vaporizer-Rocketeer pairing would be!

New gameplay leaks suggest GTA 6 could be Rockstar's most detailed and immersive open world yet 🔥

Reportedly introducting survival-style mechanics and smarter AI that go far beyond anything seen in GTA 5. Here's what the leaks reveal so far:

⛽ Car Fuel Mechanics

Leaked footage reportedly shows vehicles with visible fuel and engine health gauges, suggesting this could be the first GTA title where players actually need to stop at a gas station to refuel.

🚗 Weapon Storage Mechanics

According to the leaks, approaching a vehicle brings up "loadout" and "storage" prompts, hinting that players may be able to swap weapons at the car and stash items in the trunk.

🏃‍♂️ Stamina System

Clips apparently show a stamina meter tied to melee combat — it reportedly drains as the player throws punches, and depletes further when swinging a heavier weapon like a wrench, causing the screen to vignette at empty.

👮‍♂️ Cops Sitting on Roadside Speed Trapping

Police AI also looks like it's getting an upgrade, with leaks claiming cops can be seen running roadside speed traps and general traffic enforcement, alongside NPC drivers reacting more realistically by swerving to avoid crashes.

None of this is confirmed by Rockstar, so it's worth treating these details as unverified for now - but if accurate, they point to a huge leap in world simulation for the long-awaited sequel!

Bethesda developers are speaking out, claiming yearly layoffs have become routine since Microsoft took over the studio 😮

Workers rallied across the U.S. and Canada this week under the banner "Save Our Devs," backed by a games-industry union, to protest ongoing job cuts at Xbox studios. According to employees, roughly 1,600 positions have already been eliminated, with more cuts reportedly planned before mid-2027.

Staff say the culture shift is stark compared to the pre-acquisition era, when even rocky launches like Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online didn't result in mass firings - teams were instead given time to fix the games.

Developers argue the constant cuts don't just hurt morale, they strip away institutional knowledge that keeps long-running franchises running smoothly. A labor complaint has been filed over how the layoffs were handled, and workers say they proposed alternative cost-cutting terms months before the cuts hit - a proposal they claim went unanswered.

A Star Citizen developer livestream meant to calm frustrated fans instead fell apart in real time, bugs and all, in front of a live audience 😮

Developer Cloud Imperium Games scheduled the stream earlier this month after players complained about the state of the game's reworked Siege of Orison mission, which had already been delayed once over performance problems. The plan was to play the mission on an internal build to show the "intended design" and prove the experience would eventually work as promised. Instead, the roughly 90-minute session turned into a showcase of the exact kind of instability players had been complaining about.

Throughout the demo, the developers struggled with basic functions like swapping weapons, accessing inventory, and reviving downed teammates, all while playing on a version of the game that was supposed to be the polished one. Tension between the developers on camera grew visible as the mission unraveled and the content director eventually stepping in to tell the streamer to wrap things up. The stream never reached the calm, functional showcase it was meant to be.

The fallout was swift, with viewers describing the broadcast as awkward and unintentionally revealing, and community members arguing CIG was giving the community its most honest look at the game in months.

Fans were reportedly surprised the studio left the video up rather than pulling it. The incident lands at a sensitive moment for the project, which has raised more than $1 billion in crowdfunding since 2012 and still has no launch date in sight!

Nexon has confirmed that Arc Raiders' sales are cooling off, even as the extraction shooter crosses 16 million copies sold 😮

The game added another 800,000 copies last quarter, but Nexon described the pace as simply "normalizing" more than nine months after its October 2025 launch. Some in the community read that word choice very differently, arguing it's a softer way of saying sales are dropping fast. Their reasoning: the game hasn't delivered much new content lately, and the wave of streamer hype that carried the launch has largely faded and isn't coming back on its own.

Nexon is banking on Frozen Trail, called the biggest content update since launch, to turn things around when it lands in October. Critics argue that leaning so heavily on one big drop suggests Nexon already expects it to be just enough to keep current players around and pull in a few new ones, rather than a full comeback.

That reading gets extra weight from Nexon's other big reveal - a Closed Alpha Test in China with Tencent that beat sign-up targets - which some players interpret as a sign that the West may no longer be the main priority, since Tencent can run the game there without heavy investment from Nexon itself.

Put simply, Nexon is calling this a normal cooldown, but plenty of players see the warning signs of a game losing steam. October's update will be the real test of which read is correct. Until then, Arc Raiders is still a big earner for Nexon, even if the mood around it has clearly shifted!

Only one in ten players have completed Crimson Desert's main story so far, and the reason has nothing to do with the game losing people's interest 🔥

Achievement data compiled from Steam and other websites puts main-story completion at roughly 10% on Steam, with Xbox and PlayStation only slightly higher at 13% and 15% respectively. Some players have already logged well over 200 hours despite never reaching the credits, a gap that would look alarming for most games but makes perfect sense here. Crimson Desert simply isn't the kind of RPG where finishing Kliff's story is the point.

What the numbers really capture is a world built for wandering rather than rushing. Towering spires, hidden cliffside paths, and sprawling biomes constantly pull players away from the main quest line and into side content, collectibles, and unplanned detours. It's the same pull that has defined the best Elder Scrolls games for decades, where the destination matters far less than everything discovered on the way there.

Pearl Abyss' open world rewards that kind of aimless curiosity more than almost any RPG in recent memory. The sheer density of things to stumble upon, from unmarked ruins to unexpected encounters, means the "main story" often becomes background noise to the exploration itself.

Judged by completion percentage alone, Crimson Desert might look unfinished to most of its audience, but judged by hours spent simply existing in Pywel, it's clearly doing exactly what it set out to do!
