A founder posts a picture of someone on his team in a hospital bed.

Still coding. 16 hours a day. 20,000 lines of code deep.

His takeaway? "That's culture."

Not concern. Not telling them to rest.

A LinkedIn post bragging about it and a waitlist link at the bottom.

This is exactly why people hate LinkedIn.

Allbirds rebranded to New Bird AI and completely left the shoe business behind.

The stock exploded 583% after the announcement, going from $2.49 to $16.99.

Their new plan is acquiring high performance AI compute hardware.

The greed around AI right now is so intense that a shoe company can pivot overnight and the market throws money at it.

Exciting in the moment but the long term picture feels like a gamble.

LinkedIn's CEO Ryan Roslansky stepped down this week with no warning, effective immediately.

Dan Shapiro, the former COO, is now acting CEO.

It's part of a much bigger trend happening across tech and corporate this year.

Apollo, Adobe, Walmart, Coca-Cola, and others have all swapped out their CEOs.

The common thread is that COOs keep being the ones stepping up.

China blocked Meta's $2 billion acquisition of Manis and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

The Chinese government has full control over companies with any ties to the country, no matter where they're headquartered.

This is about protecting IP and keeping a competitive edge in the ongoing tech race with the US.

If Meta wants it, China wants to keep it. That simple.

Google silently dropped a 4GB AI model onto Chrome users' devices without any consent.

The legal implications are serious but the environmental analysis might be even worse when you scale it to a billion devices.

The no consent piece is the biggest red flag because if they're willing to install something this large without asking, what else are they doing quietly in the background.

We turned off every AI feature we could find in Google products after reading this.

Amanda launched a series called Strong Men in My DMs where she exposes the trolls who message her after she speaks up.

A guy called her a fraud with impostor syndrome in her inbox and she responded by roasting his hairline and asking about his girlfriend.

Then someone tried to be supportive in the comments and Amanda called out how that same person had centered herself in a post about genocide just the week before.

She said she might need a separate series for women too.

Absolutely taking no prisoners.

ZoomInfo sent a text at 5am telling employees to check their personal email for an important message.
That message was that they were done.

One employee had been there for 9 years, didn't even see the text, and found out when they couldn't log into Slack at 6am like they always did.

A thousand people got laid off and the best they could come up with was a text redirecting to an email.

Coda acquired Grammarly and Superhuman.

Then decided to rename Grammarly... to Superhuman.

The bigger brand. The more recognized name. Gone.

Ironically, Grammarly sounded more human than Superhuman ever did.

We broke down why this was a mistake.

Someone put a trap in their LinkedIn bio and AI sales tools fell for it.

Cameron Matiz added a prompt telling any LLM to include a flan recipe.

Sure enough, an AI-generated cold email arrived with the full recipe baked in.

The post went from 2,000 to 23,000 reactions overnight.

This is what happens when you automate outreach and nobody checks.

A company you'd never heard of posted a $1.5M content role.

PayPal listed $240K and people lost it.

Virio said hold my budget.

Was it a legit hire or a PR stunt?
