Rachel Whiteread Daybed at Artware Editions!

We’re honored to present Rachel Whiteread’s iconic vision into your home: a sculptural daybed that transforms the negative space beneath a twin bed into form and function.

Much of Whiteread’s work explores absence and memory, and this design carries that legacy forward with the undulating surface that reflects the underside of a mattress, while four vertical openings signify the bedposts.

Available in 12 Bute Scottish wool fabric colorways, the daybed is equal parts conceptual artwork and timeless design object. We have one new edition in Icicle blue (as pictured) that is fabricated and ready to ship now; all other colorways are custom-made in the UK with a 10–12 week lead time.

This is more than furniture. It’s functional art by one of Britain’s most influential contemporary artists.

The Artist Plate Project went live yesterday, but don’t worry several of these plates are still up for grabs 🤩

Each plate is an edition of 250 and features the work of an iconic artist. Every plate also comes in a beautifully vibrant box, perfect for gifting!

All proceeds go to benefiting the Coalition for the Homeless. The purchase of just one plate can feed 100 homeless individuals.

NEW from Artware Editions comes the Robert Indiana “EAT” lacquer tray 🍽️

In 1962, Robert Indiana, created his iconic EAT/DIE diptych. The work featured two eye-catching, oil painted panels, one of which read “EAT” and the other “DIE”. The work was largely inspired by Indiana’s mother whose last word was “eat” before passing.

This tray features a section of the iconic “EAT” panel. It is bold, vibrant, and a great conversation starter. Each tray comes packaged in a custom box, making it perfect for gifting!

Jean-Michel Basquiat rose to prominence in the 1980s with his neo-expressionist paintings. His work is noted for its improvisational style that references a wide range of sources including music, religion, politics and Black history.

This collection consists of a lacquered, hinged box, square tray, and breakfast tray. All three pieces feature a section from Jean-Michel Basquiat’s iconic 1983-piece, Mitchell Crew.
