To whoever reported my cart the second I stepped away from it at Costco… I genuinely need answers. 😭🛒💀

I parked my cart near the end of an aisle so I could grab one item.

One item.

Not a full shopping trip.

Not a 30-minute disappearance.

I walked maybe 20 feet away.

By the time I came back?

An employee had already taken the entire cart.

Gone.

Vanished.

Everything I’d spent the last 40 minutes shopping for had apparently entered witness protection.

Seriously… how does that happen so fast? 😭

Was someone monitoring abandoned carts from a control room?

Did my cart trigger a silent alarm?

Because the response time was unbelievable.

Now I’m standing there trying to explain that no, I didn’t leave the store, abandon my groceries, and start a new life somewhere else.

I was gone for less time than it takes to choose between two brands of cereal.

Yet somehow my cart was treated like an unattended suitcase at an airport.

At that point I spent more time tracking down my groceries than I did shopping for them.

So now I’m curious…

How long should a cart actually sit before someone assumes it’s abandoned? 🤔

This is actually unbelievable…

I’m on vacation in Clearwater with my family including my younger siblings just trying to enjoy a nice walk on the boardwalk, and I’m forced to see this vulgar “Dick’s Last Resort” restaurant again. This place is literally everywhere in Florida. You can’t escape it.

The name alone is completely inappropriate. “Dick’s”? In a highly family-oriented tourist area full of kids? My little brothers and sisters do not need to be exposed to that kind of trashy, low-class vibe while we’re trying to have a wholesome vacation.

This is not the place for crude humor and vulgar restaurant names. Some of us are trying to enjoy time with our children without having to explain what “Dick’s” means.

The lack of decency and respect for families in these tourist spots is actually insane.

Take that sign down and pick a better name. This kind of garbage has no place in a family destination.

And left a $0 tip. 😳🍽️💀

Not 5%.

Not 10%.

Not even a couple dollars.

Zero.

Now before anyone jumps straight to conclusions…

No, there wasn’t a major complaint.

No food was sent back.

No manager was called over.

No scene was made.

As far as anyone could tell, everything seemed perfectly normal.

The table stayed for hours.

Ordered appetizers.

Drinks.

Desserts.

The whole experience.

Then the check came.

$1,128.40.

And the tip line looked like it had been personally offended. 😭

That’s why situations like this always start arguments.

Some people believe tipping is optional, no matter what the bill is.

Others think if you’re spending over a thousand dollars at a restaurant, leaving nothing sends a pretty clear message.

And honestly?

That’s where the debate gets interesting.

Because at what point does the size of the bill change expectations?

Should a tip always be based on service?

Should it be based on the total?

Or is a customer completely within their rights to leave nothing regardless of how much they spent?

One thing is certain…

Seeing a four-figure dinner bill paired with a zero-dollar tip definitely gets people’s attention. 👀

So I’m genuinely curious…

I don’t have a problem with people washing their cars at home, but once the sidewalk turns into a soapy little river, it becomes everybody else’s issue. 😭

The water was running right down the driveway, across the public sidewalk, and into the street like someone set up a neighborhood car wash. There was foam everywhere, and someone walking their dog actually had to pause and figure out how to get around it without stepping straight through the mess.

A little water is one thing. That happens. But soap all over the sidewalk is different, especially when people are trying to walk, kids are riding bikes, and pets are being walked through the neighborhood. Nobody should have to dodge slippery runoff just because someone wanted to wash their SUV in the driveway.

Wash your car, sure, but at least try to keep the mess contained. Public sidewalks are for everyone, not just a drain path for your driveway project. 🧼 Do people not think about this stuff anymore?

Imagine spending over $500 on dinner, paying the bill, signing the receipt, and thinking the night is over…

Only to have your server stop you on the way out. 😳🍽️💀

According to a story making the rounds online, a customer left a tip that the server felt was too low for the size of the bill.

Instead of letting it go, the server allegedly walked over and asked if there had been a problem with the service.

The customer said no.

Everything was fine.

Food was good.

Service was good.

No complaints.

That’s when things reportedly got awkward.

Because the conversation wasn’t really about the service.

It was about the tip.

And now people are completely divided.

Some are saying:

💬 “If the service was excellent, why leave a small tip on such a large bill?”

Others are saying:

💬 “The moment you confront a customer about a tip, you’ve crossed a line.”

And honestly, that’s why stories like this explode online.

Because tipping is one of the few things where everyone seems to have a different definition of what’s fair.

Some people see tipping as a percentage.

Some see it as a flat amount.

Some think great service deserves more.

Others think the bill size shouldn’t determine the tip at all.

But one thing almost everyone agrees on…

Nobody expects a post-meal conversation about the amount they left on the receipt. 😭

The meal itself came to $25.37, but then the receipt says tipping is mandatory and adds a required 20% tip, bringing the total to $30.44.

I understand servers work hard, and good service deserves to be appreciated. But once a tip is required, it starts to feel less like a tip and more like an added service charge.

That’s where people get frustrated. Customers are already dealing with higher food prices, taxes, fees, and now mandatory gratuity being written right onto the receipt.

At the same time, I get why restaurant workers are tired of being stiffed after providing service.

It just feels like the whole tipping system keeps putting customers and servers on opposite sides, when the bigger issue is how restaurant pay works in the first place.

That is not the issue.

The issue is walking into a restaurant and seeing a sign that says:

“If you can’t afford to tip 20%, you can’t afford to eat here.”

Maybe some people think that’s fair.

But honestly, it completely changed the vibe for me.

Before I’ve seen a menu.

Before I’ve met my server.

Before I’ve ordered a drink.

The conversation is already about how much extra money I’m expected to leave.

I tip.

Most people I know tip.

That’s not the problem.

The problem is that hospitality starts feeling a lot less welcoming when the first thing a customer sees is a financial expectation.

To me, good service should earn a tip.

Not the other way around.

And when restaurants start leading with tip rules instead of hospitality, it feels like something has shifted.

Maybe I’m overthinking it.

But if the first thing customers are thinking about is the tip instead of the food…

Is that really a good first impression?

I honestly can’t believe a business thought this was the right sign to tape on the front door. 😅

I walked up with my kid and the first thing I saw was a big notice aimed directly at parents, basically saying:

“We love kids, but keep them under control.”

Then it lists no running, no screaming, no touching things, no making a mess, and ends with:

“If your children can’t behave, please take them somewhere else.”

And honestly, it’s not even just the rules themselves. I get that nobody wants kids running wild in a restaurant or café. But the tone of the sign feels so cold and unwelcoming, like families are already being treated as a problem before they even step inside.

If you run a public business, families with kids are going to come in. That’s just part of being open to the public.

This gave off strong “we want your money, but only if your children act like tiny adults” energy. 💀

I kept thinking… do they really expect parents to read that and still feel comfortable spending money there?

For me, it felt rude, unnecessary, and honestly a little arrogant.

Not gonna lie, part of me wanted to walk in and ask if they would say it to a customer’s face the same way they wrote it on the door. 😬

Y’all this lady at Wendy’s really had me looking at her sideways today.🤬

I ordered a 6 piece nugget and asked for 6 different sauces because I ordered 6 NUGGETS!!!! I like options. One nugget, one sauce. Simple math.

Tell me why this woman stuck her arm out the drive thru window asking me for some extra little chump change for the sauces.

Ma’am.

You work at Wendy’s, not a luxury steakhouse. Why are you acting like these sauces are coming out your personal pantry?

She really had the nerve to look serious too, like she was about to get employee of the month for protecting the ranch.

Girl, you do not get paid extra to guard sweet and sour sauce. You should be ashamed of yourself holding your hand out over sauce packets like I asked for a side of gold.

I just wanted my nuggets to have personality. That’s it.

Fast food already high enough and now y’all taxing people over sauce too? Wendy’s, come get your girl because she was doing entirely too much over 6 little dips. 🙄
