TODAY! When we say Warwick Arts Fest is hands-on, we mean dress to get messy. Dress to dance with a giant puppet, or make a summer storm using only your body as an instrument, dress to make Jackson Pollack Swing Art, take a turn in the DIY photo booth, or use natural dyes to print on fabric.
2PM: The fun starts with the Student Musician Showcase featuring the Middle School Middle School Honor’s Symphony, The Maynard String Collective, and middle and high school vocalists.
2 - 6PM: Art workshops and games. Something fun for all ages & abilities.
2:30: Open Sing and Drum Circle - don’t be shy, this could change your life!
3:00: Join Paul Loesel, Core Theatre & Broadway pianist with Wicked the musical & learn to sign, “One Short Day.”
3:15: The souful roots music of the Milton Trio hits the stage.
3:30: Open Sing and Drum Circle - a 2nd chance to release your inner musician.
4:15: Summer Storm soundscape. A truly unique opportunity to join in and make a special moment happen, using only your body as an instrument.
4:30: Dancing with Puppets - and how cool is that!
5: Blues and jazz sounds of the Ryan Berg Trio with Brianna Thomas on the main stage
5:30: Open Sing & Drum Circle - last chance!
6:30: Salsa lesson . . . get ready . . .
7 - 9: Tito Puente Jnr. & band close out the evening with some high energy Latin jazz, mambo and salsa!
In between all that fun, you can browse art vendors, visit with some local organizations supporting families and the arts, and tuck into delicious food and treats.
Tickets: $5 ages 4 - 18, $10 adults, pay-what-you-can option available.
