At heimtextil 2027, everything gets woven together! Interiors are textiles, are art, and are human. In Frankfurt, ALCOVA will present Home-Maxxing: The Performance of Everyday Living… Demands of space are changing. Today, they are expected to deliver far more than ever before. Heimtextil Trends 27/28 address this shift.

The Trend Space in Hall 4.2 will highlight how societal changes are influencing colours, materials and design – and what new impetus this is generating for the international textile and interior design sectors.

At the The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, Ivonne Seifert, Heimtextil Director of Marketing Communications, shared what to expect at the upcoming fair and was joined via livestream by josephgrima, co-founder of Alcova.

On display at Automechanika Frankfurt 2027, BMW showcased its 17th Art Car by Jeff Koons. Originally unveiled in Paris in 2010, the high-performance racing car was designed for the 24-hour Le Mans race. The design goal was to make the pure energy and explosiveness of racing visually noticeable.

Today, Ambiente announced its designer of the year, Raw Color! With their distinctive approach to color, form and material and their experimental design philosophy, Daniera ter Haar and Christoph Brach are among the innovative voices shaping the international design scene.

At their Eindhoven studio, they explore how color interacts with different materials and how it can become tangible and experiential. Raw Color combines graphic design, photography and product design to create a direct, energetic visual language. Their work plays with materiality, perception and unexpected color combinations.

The studio works on international projects for renowned companies and institutions including Adidas, Hermès, IKEA, Kvadrat, Samsung and the Van Gogh Museum. Their work has been exhibited around the world and is part of prestigious museum collections, including the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

We are excited to see their work in Ambiente’s Interior Design & Architecture Hub in 2027!

Design we can’t stop thinking about…As a tribute to Palazzo Litta and its grand salon, LcD and Luc Druez invited Eric Charles Donatien to design a special customed scenography, Full Metal Banquet: a baroque celebration created from offcuts and production leftovers of metal mesh. From an abstract cloud of fibers, metal wires have been metamorphosed to fine decorative ornements, table set , ceremonial armchairs & ceremony dress first time presented in Milan 2026.
