✨On this International Day of Charity, I want to remind you that research changes outcomes.... and every child deserves to benefit from the next breakthrough.

Today, approximately 85% of children diagnosed with cancer are alive at least five years after diagnosis. That progress is meaningful, but it is not enough when some childhood cancers still have devastating outcomes. (Source: National Cancer Institute)

Research gave families hope before, and continued research can create safer treatments and better futures for the children diagnosed tomorrow.

In memory of my son Michael, a portion of the commission I receive from every trip booked with me through September 30, 2026, will be donated to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.

The words “all-inclusive” can mean very different things from one resort to another. Before choosing based on the room rate alone, make sure you know what your vacation will actually include.

🔎 WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR?

✈️ Are roundtrip airport transfers included?
🍽️ Are all restaurants included—or do some charge extra?
🍹 Are PREMIUM alcoholic beverages included?
💵 Are taxes, tips and gratuities included?
🏖️ Are water sports and equipment included?
🤿 Is snorkeling or scuba diving included?
💦 Is there a waterpark or only a swimming pool?
👧 Is supervised childcare included? What ages are accepted?

Hi everyone! 💛

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and this month is very personal to me as a mom. My son Michael battled brain cancer for years, and I carry his memory with me every day. He loved to laugh, sing, play, and spend time with his family. He also loved orange, which is why orange is such a meaningful part of Creating Memories Vacations. 🧡

In Michael’s memory, from now through September 30, 2026, a portion of the commission I receive from every vacation package booked through Creating Memories Vacations | Travel By Chrissie will be donated to St. Baldrick’s Foundation once that commission is received. 💛

Childhood cancer affects approximately 400,000 children and teens worldwide each year. In the United States, cancer is the leading cause of death by disease after infancy among children, and leukemias and brain and central nervous system tumors are among the most common childhood cancers.

These are more than statistics to families like mine. Every number represents a child and a family whose lives are changed forever.
