Dee Finley (1963-2023) was a beloved part of the East Village scene, known for his vibrant performances and larger-than-life personality. After experiencing both highs and lows, Dee spent nights in Tompkins Square Park, and now we have a chance to honor his memory with a memorial bench plaque there.

Our beloved Dee was a Supreme Jackie Legend for many moments, but this one stands out:

Dee was arrested for minor drug infraction and taken to jail on their way back from Jackie 60's CELL BLOCK 60 Women's Prison theme. Dee was booked into a holding cell still wearing a black and white striped prison uniform with "Jackie 60" stenciled on the back.

And that kids is how its done!

More excitement for this year's Night of 1000 Stevies!

1000 STEVIES CELEBRATES
GYPSY 83 AT 25

A very special segment of Saturday's show will celebrate Gypsy 83 ( the 2001 cult classic film inspired by NOTS) on its 25th anniversary. We will welcome onstage director Todd Stephens and thesbian Heather Litteer to introduce a new clip of the movie's NOTS re-creation.

Directly following, Blacklips Performance Cult performance queen POISON EVE will take the stage in original film costuming (more on this Stevie Star later) for an homage to the film's shero Gypsy Vale.

To mark the 25th Anniversary, an all-new Director's Cut will be released theatrically this summer by ALTERED INNOCENCE. Containing over 40 minutes of never-before-seen footage and new classic tracks from THE CURE, ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN and COCTEAU TWINS, the new cut reflects director Todd Stephens's original vision for the film.

Look for the GYPSY 83 celebration early in Act Two.

This year's NOTS will feature Sammy for three sets, including the late-night post-Battle "So You Think You Can Twirl".
