What’s your classroom, or at home theme this year?

Mini haul. I have decided to go with primary colors this year. I’m starting the year at home, but my principal is allowing me to come in and set up my classroom.

I have a few cute twists to add. I’ll share them all with you! I would love to see all of your ideas.

Are you a list person? I find myself telling friends and family... make a list. I make daily lists for myself.

I feel proud when I check even a few things off my list.

My sister had a TBI a few years ago. Yesterday I spent the day with her and did her hair and nails.

When I saw my list today, I realized I didn’t get a chance to do anything on it. It was worth it. We had the most wonderful day. ❤️

When did I become a list person? If you knew me you would not believe it. I truly believe in a whimsical life style!

Question... Can whimsical people still like list? Or am I not as fun as I think!?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

School was a struggle for me. Reading was too hard, other things were too easy... I was lost. I can remember my mom blaming herself a lot.

It broke me heart. I tried even harder... the letters all still scrambled up inside my head.

I have learned so many strategies. I get it. What it feels like to be different.

I also know how much drive plays a role, in overcoming adversities.

The teachers that made me feel successful, were few, but I remember them well. I think of them often. I still appreciate them!

I will never make a parent feel the way my mother felt. I promise to work as a team to get the most out of your child’s gifts and talents, but to also teach them strategies to help them be successful! I wish to give them confidence, and an understanding that they are not just a learning disabled child.

When kids finish there work, they grab a capsule. They toss the empty capsule into a basket and bring there mystery task back to their seat!

Perfect for grades 2-3!

This is one of my favorite resources. It is a reading strategy, mini-anchor chart collection. I have this binder display I purchased on amazon. I keep it right on my kidney table ready for teaching. It’s a great visual for my emerging readers. It keeps them focused. It also allows me to pick my upcoming lessons with ease. I look at my data and grab a matching sheet to go with the skill that is needed. .
