“Let yourself be silently drawn
by the strange pull of what you really love.
It will not lead you astray.”
— Rumi
For a long time, I found meaning in movement.
In change, in extremes, in faraway places, in the novelty of newness.
Lately, I’ve been drawn to something much quieter.
I’ve come to love the mundane.
The kind of devotion that doesn’t need to be dressed up.
Beauty isn’t in what we add
to make things feel more alive.
It’s in what we’re willing to remove.
In what remains when everything else falls away.
The quiet dedication
of picking up a paintbrush,
watching color move across the canvas,
sitting in the silence of it.
This is where my life feels real now.
This is where I find myself.
