When a loyal client reaches out, shows you an inspo pic and says “I need this by tomorrow”…. You make it happen! 😄
Last night, I came home at 9pm from a gig, 45 minutes, a Heat Pen and whole lotta prayers later… done and ready for Uber 🚗 at 10PM.
I didn’t waste any time drafting the letters with a pencil because I knew that would take even longer. So I just penciled in the lines, eyeballed the spacing and went for it 😰So glad it worked out!!! ✍🏽😅 Thanks Josie for always trusting me 🫶 (This is a leather burned Cocktail menu )

Today marks exactly 10 years since I first picked up a pen and started my calligraphy journey! 🖊️ I received a $50 gift so I went to Michaels Stores and bought the Speedball Calligraphy & Illustration collector’s kit and wrote my first calligraphy the next day…”Good Morning New York” 😆
A month later, I opened my Etsy Shop selling only 2 things: place cards & bridesmaid gift bags. The place cards here are the actual pics I used as my listing photos😄 . The next day, I received an order for 50 place cards and then another order came in and another and another. Between 2017-2019, during my busiest stretch, I was averaging 40-50 orders of place cards EACH WEEK, each order ranging from 50-350 pcs cards.

What started as a “little hobby” opened so many doors for me and turned into an exciting and rewarding career that has taken me to places I only wished for, and it all began with this Kit!! 🙏🏼 THANK YOU Speedball Calligraphy & Illustration 🙏🏼
