In “Enter the Dragon” Bruce Lee makes the observation that a good martial artist should always be “ready for whatever may come”… and of course, this applies to life, not just martial arts! So what does this mean in reality?
It means having the necessary inner resources to not just “cope” with events… but to actually turn those events into food for your psychological growth and personal development. That means resources like resilience, adaptability, creativity, and total belief in yourself.
Bruce was ready for whatever came to him… ready for Ip Man, ready for Wong Jack Man, ready for the “Green Hornet”, ready for his back injury, ready for Krishnamurti, ready for “The Big Boss” and “Enter the Dragon”… all these events he utilised skill fully, to propel himself ever forward.
So in your daily life, be ready too, be prepared, be confident, be self-assured of your abilities… let nothing phase you or catch you off guard.
