Happy birthday to I have always been a big fan. I painted this portrait to celebrate his return to basketball after his brief hiatus, which is why his number 45 is featured. I always get asked about that! 🏀 #90°

Arthur Ashe was one of the greatest tennis players of all time and a human rights activist. I was inspired to paint this portrait after his passing 29 years ago on February 6, 1993. Thinking of him on the anniversary of his death and look forward to watching the new documentary about his life, Citizen Ashe, this week!
