I have a problem with the phrase **“age appropriate.”** 👀

Because every season, fashion gives us something beautiful — sheer lace, dramatic skirts, velvet, faux fur, bold prints — and somehow women over 40 are supposed to ask:

“Can I still wear that?”

I think we're asking the wrong damn question.

For Fall 2026, I went through the runway trends I'm most excited about and broke down what's ACTUALLY worth buying, what I'd skip, and — most importantly — how to steal the idea from the runway without looking like you're wearing a costume.

And yes...I have thoughts. 😂

**“I’m too old to wear that.”**

I work with women in fitting rooms—and I hear some version of this sentence again and again.

Too old for the color.
Too old for the fitted dress.
Too old for the sexy bra.
Too old for the trend.

And I think we need to talk about it.

Because I don’t believe women suddenly lose their sense of style as they age.

**I think we’re taught to distrust it.**
