We are so lucky to work with some of the best instrumentalists in NYC! Our Production Manager, Alyssa, has the pleasure of coordinating with Luke Krafka to hire each talented musician. She says, "Working with Luke is so easy! He hires not only great players, but players who create such a fun and safe music-making environment. The energy of our orchestra is palpable; when they enter a rehearsal, the tone changes, and the music is taken to a new height."

We are thrilled to welcome a brand new piece from Mari Esabel Valverde to Carnegie Hall in 2027! Mari is an award-winning transgender Mexican-American composer in steady demand in the United States and abroad. A native of North Texas, she holds degrees from St. Olaf College and San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is a member of ASCAP and the American Choral Directors Association. She'll be joining us as Composer-In-Residence on June 21, 2027!

Ever wonder who is creating the stunning projections you see at Carnegie Hall? Meet Brian Gaukel!

Brian studied vocal performance at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, where he discovered his passion for choral music. He later combined that love of music and his work in filmmaking when his longtime friend and National Concerts Founder & Owner, Matthew Workman, reached out with an idea: What if the music could be brought to life visually, too?

That idea sparked a creative collaboration that continues today, with Brian crafting the captivating performance art projected behind the stage at Carnegie Hall!

Added to the hall in 1992, the organ serves now as both the musical and architectural star of the Meyerson.
