I was reminded of my poem which appeared in the Thule Review during this evening's meeting. We have become too enamored with technology, whether it is an improvement or not. I am perturbed that I must keep up with all the crap that is produced by the hour, evidenced by the fact that I am on this platform. Try teaching the internet to your 95-year-old mother-in-law! In so many ways, these things are forced upon us! As I grow older, I am more in tune with organic processes though I continue to master the evil. I only write with fountain pens! This machine is for the finishing that publishers demand. If we have an occurrence like the Carrington Event in 1859, a massive solar flare that wiped out the telegraph lines, we will lose the cloud and all the satellites. People have forgotten how to make a fire! It's gonna be ugly. I have been reading that no provision has been made for such a catastrophe.
