One of the biggest mistakes in interactive theater is treating the audience like spectators.

They’re not.

They’re your scene partners.

Watch what is doing here. She’s advancing the narrative, but she’s also leaving space for the audience to challenge her, question her, probe for details, and influence the direction of the conversation.

That’s the difference between delivering information and creating an experience.

In immersive murder mysteries, actors aren’t just telling a story. They’re actively investigating it with the audience while remaining fully committed to the heightened circumstances of the world.
