Over the years, Elizabeth’s journey from a young teacher from Hamilton to one of the most important figures in Hope Valley has remained at the center of the series. Erin Krakow also serves as an executive producer on the show, helping guide the direction of the long-running Hallmark drama alongside her work on screen.

The return of Lori Loughlin to When Calls the Heart is now officially confirmed, as she reprises her role as Abigail Stanton in Season 14 after last appearing on the series in 2019. Abigail was one of the original and most important characters when the show premiered in 2014, making her comeback one of the biggest and most emotional moments in recent Hope Valley history.

Following her surprise appearance at the end of the Season 13 finale, Abigail’s story is expected to continue across multiple Season 14 episodes. Reports have confirmed that Lori Loughlin is set to appear in at least six episodes of the upcoming season, bringing Abigail back into the center of the Hope Valley community she helped build alongside Elizabeth, Rosemary, Bill, and other longtime characters.

When Calls the Heart has already been renewed for Season 14, with production expected later this year ahead of an early 2027 release.
