After selling his tech company, Canadian millionaire Marcel LeBrun invested $4 million of his own money to build 99 fully equipped tiny homes for people experiencing homelessness in Fredericton.

These homes, complete with kitchens, bathrooms, and solar panels, are part of a larger community that includes a coffee shop, a teaching kitchen, and resident-run small businesses.

His mission goes beyond charity—it's about restoring dignity and creating real opportunities for lasting change.

Indiana teen Ryan White died from complications of HIV/AIDS on April 8, 1990. A hemophiliac, he became HIV+ during a factor VIII blood treatment, before testing blood for HIV was commonplace. When he attempted to be readmitted to school, Ryan fought AIDS-related discrimination, as the diagnosis was fraught with stigma and poorly understood by the general public. Ryan fought publicly, along with his mother, Jeanne, for his right to attend school, gaining national attention and becoming the face of public education about AIDS. Surprising his doctors, Ryan lived five years longer than they had originally predicted.

Ryan White died , one month before his high school graduation and just months before Congress passed legislation bearing his name in August 1990: the Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) Act, still the largest provider of services for people living with HIV/AIDS in the US.
