Francisco Goya is extraordinary. A beacon of light enveloped in a thick shadow that reveals the ironies, horrors, and humanity of the humiliated, the forsaken, the corrupt, and the abused. He illuminates the absurdity of human reason and logic, and the absurdity of human abuse and its effects. The silent screams of his art are deafening. This week marks his 275th birthday.
Here is a short film we've made attempting to adapt one of his paintings, from his Disparate series of dreams and nightmares.
To view the entire film, please check out our website at nocheflamenca.com
This short is the first in a series of works based on Goya that we will be developing and presenting. I want to thank everyone who worked so hard on this project. We would love to hear your comments. Please email us at [email protected]
