Hakgojae Gallery presents 𝙀𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜, a solo exhibition by Hee Seung Sung (b. 1977), on view from January 7 to February 7, 2026. Comprising a series of paintings, the exhibition closely examines the worldview the artist has developed over an extended period of time.
Hee Seung SUNG understands painting not as a finished outcome, but as an ongoing process of generation and movement. Her practices explores the traces left on the canvas by repetitive gestures and accumulated time. Rather than representing specific subjects, she focuses on translating layers of sensation—formed through prolonged looking and dwelling—into visual structures.
