Our show’s title points back to Antonio Gramsci’s Prison Notebooks, written from a fascist prison cell, where he described the interregnum, the space between a dying world and one not yet born, as fertile ground for opportunists and monsters alike. That prism splits our own moment too: what was whole comes apart, and what fills the spaces between is yet to be determined. The artists in this show have answered from somewhere inside it

Samuelle Green transforms thousands of hand-rolled paper cones into immersive, otherworldly environments inspired by coral, fungi, and cellular structures.

Her meticulous, labor-intensive process celebrates the intersection of nature, material, and creation, turning paper into living, textured forms that invite reflection and wonder.

Each installation is a testament to her intuitive approach, where scale, repetition, and detail combine to evoke the complexity and beauty of the natural world.

Shown here the stunning ‘Blue Bloom’ an interactive visual delight that in soft pastels. The captivating balance and harmony, a softness with structure.

It’s a very different sculpture from day to night. This seemingly levitating architectural drawing is brought to life at night through flash photos and vehicle headlights. This work reimagines and explores the possibilities of existing, abandon structures found on back roads and highways across the country. Hoping this is just a sketch for things to come! Thanks for your help in Texas!

There’s still time to see “contemporary volumes” an awesome group show curated by on view until March 22!

Tris says the shows is “a thriller” in which curator Bryant Small “plainly believes that books are in big trouble. He has gathered nine excellent artists to investigate the forces that bedevil literacy. They do it with tough, colorful, dramatic pieces, some of which use entire chambers of the special exhibition gallery to make their conflicted feelings apparent.”
