Premiere tonight in Shanghai! 🎭
Very happy to open 𝓡𝓲𝓰𝓸𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓸 this evening at the Shangyin Opera House, making my debut here in this new co-production between Shanghai Opera House and the Royal Ballet & Opera.
Looking forward to sharing the stage with Sofia Fomina as Gilda, Ivan Ayon Rivas as the Duke of Mantua, Huang Junpeng as Sparafucile, and Wang Xiaoxi as Maddalena, together with the Shanghai Opera House Chorus, Orchestra and Dance Troupe, under the baton of Xu Zhong and in Oliver Mears’ production.
Performances: June 12 & 14 at the Shangyin Opera House.
Toi, toi, toi to everyone involved!

Counting down to the opening night of 𝓡𝓲𝓰𝓸𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓸 at the Shangyin Opera House on June 12. Delighted to be making my debut here in this new co-production with the Royal Opera House, directed by Oliver Mears and conducted by Xu Zhong.
The court jester is almost ready. 🎭

Looking forward to singing 𝓡𝓲𝓰𝓸𝓵𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓸 and returning to China for these performances at the Shangyin Opera House in Shanghai!
The jester is almost a second skin to me, yet after all these years in his company, I still find him as compelling as ever.
I can’t wait to step into his shoes once again.🎭🎶

Italy always feels a little like home, and it is such a joy to sing in this beautiful country. What a privilege it was to be part of Fabio Ceresa’s remarkable production of 𝕸𝖆𝖈𝖇𝖊𝖙𝖍 at the Opera Carlo Felice in Genoa, under the baton of Sesto Quatrini.
Here is a short memory from our final performance: an excerpt from Macbeth’s aria “Pietà, rispetto, amore.”

I’m delighted to share my 2026/27 dates at the Metropolitan Opera - 19 performances of “Tosca” and “Aida” across the season.✨🎭
2026/27 will also mark two very special milestones: I’ll begin my Met season with my 150th performance at the Metropolitan Opera, and during the January run of “Tosca”, I’ll sing my 50th Scarpia at the house.
After 17 years at this extraordinary theatre, it’s an honor to continue a relationship that has made the Met feel like a second home.
Can’t wait to return to New York!
