About: “In Between”, a short film by Anabella Lenzu, exposes the inner dialogue of a woman in her roles as mother and artist. Lenzu shows the struggles, the desires, and the internal contradictions that make visible the vulnerability of the performer.

Ndidi (4:00)

Ndidi is a lucid ritual of becoming — a visual poem that follows the inner world of a wounded healer moving through heartbreak. Guided by nature’s quiet language, the film explores how grief can transform when held in stillness, sound, and movement. Through a blend of poetry, natural soundscapes, and melancholic visuals, Ndidi invites viewers into a soft threshold between loss and rebirth.

Dance Film Nights 2025: Submissions Open!!

We return to for our CreateART 2025 Dance Film Nights, screening of recent and archival dance films and talk back with their makers.

Submissions are now open via link in bio!

If you have a dance or movement based film made between 2023-2025 that you want to share, we would love to see it. $50 stipend available for selected films. At least one member of your film’s creative team must be available to attend the event and participate in the informal the post screening talk back. This year’s events will include archival dance films curated by Anton Astudillo to complement and contrast selected films, and spark thoughtful discussion on dance film making.

Event dates: Thursdays: September 4th, October 2nd, November 6th

📣 Announcing - CIRCADIA: A 24 Hour Dance Film Journey

Calling all creatives! CreateART and Ace Hotel Brooklyn present CIRCADIA: a 24 hour dance film journey. Generate an idea, cast, shoot and edit a dance or movement-based film of less than 7 minutes in 1 day.

Teams of 3 or more will be given access to some of Ace Hotel Brooklyn’s most iconic spaces and must include at least one in their film along with a randomly selected action. The challenge culminates in a screening event and awards ceremony open to the public. Let your imagination, camera and collaborators run wild in this race to create!

A grande finale for our amazing performance event at in September! Original live music from accompanied by spontaneous dance improvisations then transformed into a dance party.It was the perfect way to close the night.
