🏆 Street Muse has received the 2026 Shawna Spirit Award from the Shawna Shea Memorial Film Festival.

The Shawna Spirit Award recognizes films, screenplays, and artists who embody a truly independent, bold, and unconventional spirit where art itself is the driving force behind the creative process.

As the festival describes it:

A beautiful reminder of how music can move across cultures and tell a powerful story.

Throwing it back to "Rejoice Abyssinia", Opera Frontier's very FIRST film festival entry.

And a winner!!

This music video was shot in January 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in collaboration with Circus Abyssinia. By infusing traditional Ethiopian instruments, circus arts and dance with a lycrical revamping of Handel's Messiah (Rejoice Greatly), this piece centers around female empowerment.
