Smartworks has provided arts education programs (moving image, visual arts, dance, theater, music) to NYC public school students throughout the 5 boroughs in grades K through 12, since its inception in 1999. Smartworks designs programs that increase the basic academic and communication skills of public school students through innovative multi-disciplinary approaches to art education. Smartworks of

fers arts enrichment programs whereby trained and experienced teaching artists visit schools to conduct curriculum-based art workshops in collaboration with the classroom teacher. Additionally, Smartworks offers professional development workshops, which allow teachers to integrate the arts into their lessons. All programs are inspired by the Blueprint for Teaching and Learning in the Arts. Smartworks specializes in grand-scale works.
