This Fall, Zarra brings the world to Queens with her hypnotic blend North African chaâbi, Amazigh (Berber), Gnawa rhythms and contemporary jazz. Singing in Amazigh, Arabic, French, and English, her multicultural sound has captivated audiences across the globe.

CDI residencies connect artists with CUNY students and new local audiences.

Here, you see Xianix Barrera Flamenco bringing her electric energy to Kupferberg Center for the Arts, developing QUEBRADA, flamenco inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is mended with gold.

Xianix shared an excerpt at a Queens College Dance Department concert and led a master class for students.
