New York Tuba Quartet

New York Tuba Quartet Bringing the highest level of musical performance to the tuba-euphonium community in New York and beyond

Although the original NYT4 was started in 1973 with four of New York's finest tuba players (Toby Hanks, Steve Johns, Sam Pilafian, and Tony Price), today's quartet has reemerged on the New York music scene with new faces, new music, and a new instrumentation. Containing two euphoniums and two tubas (as opposed to the original four tuba group), the NYT4 has been reorganized into a group containing Alan Baer (New York Philharmonic Orchestra), Derek Fenstermacher (New Jersey Symphony Orchestra), Jason Ham (West Point Band), and Aaron VanderWeele (former Solo Euphonium, New York Staff Band).
