Our BHFF 2026 Q&A series is officially live on YouTube 🎬✨

We’re kicking things off with moments from our unforgettable conversation with Rade Šerbedžija, who is one of the most iconic actors to come out of the Balkans. His career has spanned major international films and television for decades, well beyond the borders of the former Yugoslavian countries. From Balkan cinema classics to Hollywood productions, his presence on screen is legendary.

During the Q&A, Rade brought not only his humor and storytelling, but also heartfelt advice for young actors, reflections on art, life, and the role of cinema in difficult times. It was a conversation full of laughs, wisdom, and genuinely moving moments.

BHFF 2026 Golden Apple Winners 🍎🏆🎬

The BHFF Award for Outstanding Contribution to Bosnian Cinema, is given to individuals whose work has impacted and shaped Bosnian Cinema in a positive way. This year, Rade Šerbedžija receives this honor. As one of the most legendary actors to come out of the former Yugoslavia, his impact is seen not only in the region, but also in global cinema where he has been making his mark for years.

Bojan Stojčić’s STEEL HOTEL SONG receives one of the two Jury Special Mentions.

🇺🇸 A flashback to one of the most heartfelt moments from our awards ceremony: as the legendary Rade Šerbedžija accepted the Special BHFF Award for his outstanding contribution to Bosnian-Herzegovinian cinema, he reminded us where recognition truly lives.

Among numerous international awards, to the audience’s surprise, he highlighted that his favorite was becoming an honorary citizen of Bihać! A special moment to remember—especially for friends of the festival from Bosanska Krajina. Watch the video.
