We are so excited to announce that through the generosity of our community, we were able to raise $15,627 during our 2-to-1 matching campaign, which will be turned into $46,881!

We are so deeply grateful to every person who was able to donate a gift of any size and to our anonymous donor who offered this match

With your support, we are heading into our 2026/2027 season of exciting new partnerships, productions, and offerings. We hope that you will join us at The Public Theater for THE VERGE this Fall, at WP Theater for The Stand In in the Winter, and more developmental work to be announced taking place in Spring 2027.

And stay tuned for an announcement about an expanded Free Training Initiative (FTI) for Actors that will be taking place this fall!

With Gratitude,
All of us at Fiasco

If you can donate between now and the end of day on July 6th your dollars will be 2-to-1 matched. Triple your impact as each cent donated goes towards our exciting upcoming 2026/2027 Season! Give today with our link in bio!

We start off with THE VERGE by Susan Glaspell, produced in partnership with The Public Theater this Fall, then continue in the early winter of 2027 with the world-premiere of Crystal Finn’s THE STAND IN directed by Emily Young in partnership with WP Theater.

We are also shortly about to announce an expanded free training initiative happening this November while we are in residence at The Public, and many more projects in development.

This work is only possible because of the incredible loyalty and generosity of our supporters and partners, one of whom has announced a 2-to-1 matching grant in place through the end of this fiscal year. We’re happy to announce that this grant has been extended to July 6th.

We promise to put everyone of those dollars to good use, making dynamic, joyful, ensemble-driven art that we cannot wait to share with you soon!

What a year for us at Fiasco! This season has been filled with incredible growth - from simultaneous world premieres on different coasts, new work in-development, and joyful collaborations along the way.

It’s your support that has helped us bring these incredible works to the stage and will continue to do so.

Right now, we have a two-for-one grant from an anonymous donor, so every dollar you give until the end of the month will turn into three dollars. We promise that every one of those dollars will be put towards bringing these shows to the stage—both new works and old reimagined treasures. Please consider supporting Fiasco this month!

Now through June 30th, every dollar you give will be matched 2-to-1 by an anonymous donor—tripling your impact. Help us turn $10,000 into $30,000 to support our artists, audiences, and students.

Since our founding in 2009, Fiasco Theater has had a dual-part mission — valuing both artistic productions alongside education programs, and this season we’ve achieved some new milestones. We hope you’ll be able to help us continue this momentum.  In addition to offering our multi-week classes on Shakespeare, Clown, and our PlayIGround workshop program this 2025/2026 Season, Fiasco responded to student ideas in the form of two new exciting class offerings: 1) Dynamic Ensemble Rehearsal Project and 2) Free Training Initiatives - for Educators.

It is through our education offerings that we continue to cultivate a strong Fiasco community and join together under the shared artistic values! Thank you for being a part of our community.

Surrounded by friends and collaborators, the Fiasco community gathered for a joyous Open Your Ears reading of a new Crystal Finn play: REALLY REALLY REALLY.

Directed by Fiasco company member Paco Tolson and featuring company members Jessie Austrian, Noah Brody, Ben Steinfeld, and Emily Young, REALLY REALLY REALLY is a play about acting, and loving, and what’s really real, really.

While much of our work has been focused on celebrating the classics in new and exciting ways, we are starting to venture more strongly into developing new works too! REALLY REALLY REALLY has been a wonderful step in that direction. Thank you Crystal for letting us explore your brilliant play.

We look forward to seeing you soon,
All of us at Fiasco

Fiasco is on the cusp of something big…!

This Fall, Fiasco Theater and The Public Theater partner to celebrate a hidden American classic: THE VERGE by Susan Glaspell, Pulitzer Prize winner and founder of the Provincetown Players.

With direction from Fiasco co-artistic director Jessie Austrian, starring longtime Fiasco Friend and Tony Award Winner Miriam Silverman, and featuring Fiasco company members, THE VERGE begins performances on October 27th and officially opens on November 5th in the LuEsther Hall at The Public Theater.

Fiasco was first introduced to THE VERGE by Expand the Canon which uncovers and uplifts classic plays by women & underrepresented genders. With the support of Expand the Canon and many others along the way, Fiasco is proud to produce this unsung play and give audiences a chance to experience its power.

Taught by members of Fiasco’s Faculty, Play|Ground workshops will be rooted in play, embodied practice, and community. Each workshop and gathering will include refreshments and time to reflect on our artistic processes.

Registration is based on a sliding scale (Free / $15 / $30) and participants can apply to our Access Fund for reimbursement on expenses incurred in order to participate (childcare, eldercare, or other accessibility-related expenses).
