NYC Unicycle Festival New York City's only Unicycle Festival, August 28 to September 31, 2025 NYC's Unicycle Festival rolls across New York City this September.

The growing popularity of this quirky pastime, combined with the City’s initiatives to encourage cycling, make this a timely opportunity to celebrate the unicycle. Produced by Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc., the New York City Unicycle Festival brings together recreational riders, world-class performers, mountain and off-road unicycle enthusiasts, mono-wheel vehicle inventors, and thousands of people who have not ridden in umpteen years, along with circus enthusiasts, extreme sports viewers, and anyone seeking an unusual sight--even for NYC!

The 17th annual NYC Unicycle Festival was a success. Four days of one-wheel madness under the sunny blue skies of NYC.

Marathon rides to Learn-to-Rides; one-wheel sumo and unicycle hockey; tandem unicycles to three wheeled giraffes...

Special thanks to the 34th Avenue Open Streets Coalition, Cirque Amongus, Just One Wheel, the New York City Unicycle Club, Stuyvesant Red Cross, and LaGuardia Performing Arts Center for helping make this year's festival happen.

Happy Brooklyn Unicycle Day!

As is tradition, we are gathering by City Hall in Manhattan to ride across the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. Gathering starts at 2 pm. We ride at 3 pm!

Want to ride with us? For those on two wheels, we are always in need of two wheel support on this ride. So regardless of the number of wheels you are pedaling, join us.

Tomorrow is the start of the NYC Unicycle Festival. The festival starts with a ride up Manhattan (and back if you are looking for some more miles). Hosted by the NYC Unicycle Club, this ride starts at the base of the Hudson River Greenway at Battery Park at 10:30 am on Thursday.

The first day of the NYC Unicycle Festival is a splendidly scenic way to take in Manhattan. The ride starts in Battery Park in lower Manhattan at 10:30 am, rolls up the west side and then around Central Park, and for those still rolling, sometimes a stop in Times Square before returning downtown.

I always look forward to Brooklyn Unicycle Day (the second day of the NYC Unicycle Festival). We ride across Brooklyn, starting by City Hall in Manhattan and roll across the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. And once we get to Coney, we go for a spin on the biggest wheel in Brooklyn, Deno's Wonder Wheel.
