Sing Harlem Sing Harlem! is the breakout musical group from Mama Foundation for the Arts. The 4-time award-winning Sing Harlem!

This highly respected and influential choir is known for producing great vocalists, and top-notch global citizens. was formed out of the Gospel for Teens program (GFT) founded in 2006 by legendary radio personality and producer Vy Higginsen to be the break out choir for The Mama Foundation for the Arts school. Over the years under the direction of Ahmaya Knoelle Higginson, the choir has grown to be a highly respected and influential force in the New York gospel scene, producing not only great vocalists, but top notch global citizens. has performed at many prestigious venues, programs and concerts across America including, The Congressional Black Caucus, The Stellar Awards, New York Fashion Week, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Lincoln Center,
Concerts Across America and the Grammy Awards.

Thank you for your vulnerability, emotions and tears of connectivity to the music and the voices! A cultural staple in our community of Harlem, this gospel brunch was founded by Vy Higginsen Vy Higginsen and the Mama Foundation for the Arts Mama Foundation For The Arts | Tuition Free Music School 30 years ago, and continued its platform at the newly built Red Rooster over 15 years ago! It has been a source of refuge continuing the history of our African-American culture through music, reaching audiences locally nationally and internationally as well as giving a platform to Young emerging talent from the Mama Foundation in our communities.

The Mama Foundation for the Arts in Harlem founded this Gospel Brunch 15 years ago to sustain a space where graduates of the school and artists of color can have a platform for their artistry and talent. Now becoming the longest existing gospel brunch in New York, this experience serves as a transcending space where local and international visitors can be elevated by the power of music connecting to the good news of the Gospel. Featuring the passionate Singers of ‘s Sing Harlem Choir and led by the evolution runs deep in the Harlem community.
