BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

We are honored to perform our newest show "Climate Guardians", which is a co-production with The Culture Tree, as part of the international leg of the Yunlin Puppet Theater Festival this October. Climate Guardians is a hand puppet show with three mini stories of kids in India, Kenya and Peru helping their local communities and the Earth.

During the first week of the festival, the spotlight will be on Taiwanese puppeteers featuring budaixi (traditional Chinese hand puppetry). When we arrive for the second week, it will be all international puppeteers.

This is our second time performing at the Yunlin Puppet Theater Festival and we are super excited to go! Last time in 2024, we met amazing new friends from Thailand, Tokyo and Taipei. We hope to see old and new faces as we proudly present our newest work!

Week 2 of our professional puppetry training program at the Jim Henson Carriage House in NYC. Look at these puppeteers go!

This time around we are teaching three individual groups. 40 participants are learning the basics, while 10 graduates of the program are back to learn Level 2.

Monkey puppet work in progress! Micotiti is a cute antagonist for our upcoming Jose Jaguar show. The story is about a young Amazon jaguar who must journey through Colombia to reclaim magical butterflies - and in doing so, learn his place as guardian of the jungle.

50 new puppeteers with backgrounds in clown, acting, aerial, school teachers, lawyers, etc came out to do the first of eight sessions at the Jim Henson Carriage House. They are split across three groups, each doing two hours every Sunday of technique, building and performance.

By the last week, they will be trained and ready to take their first steps in the puppetry world - to audition, to create puppet slam pieces, to unleash their own weird and wonderful works.

Our own Chad Williams has been teaching this program since 2019. We do it three times per year and the demand just keeps growing!
