Water has a way of making the world feel quieter.
She knelt beside the old marble fountain, watching the ripples disappear beneath her fingertips.
Around her, orchids bloomed beneath the glass ceiling.
Sunlight moved slowly across the floor.
Nothing demanded her attention.
For once, she could simply be still.
Perhaps she was thinking about the past.
Perhaps about the future.
Or perhaps she was enjoying the rare luxury of having no thoughts at all.
Some moments don't need to accomplish anything.
They simply need to be experienced.
Peace is sometimes found in the smallest moments when we finally allow ourselves to slow down.
