Community, educators, school employees, family, and friends, I invite you to see "Pipeline" written by Dominique Morriseau and directed by Amelia Lumpkin! My affiliation as an educator may influence my perspective, but I'll try to be objective
This production had an impeccable cast. Two cast members have experience in the school system making their characters more authentic! The cast delivered excellent chemistry between each other and exhibit strong body language with their voices and body language.
The Pipeline staging, presented an African-American Public High School teacher balancing her life as a single mother,Terra Crimes as Nya, dealing with issues of raising her son, Damarion Jones as Omari in a private school with her unsupported ex-husband, Evit Emerson as Xavier. Nya struggled with students who are suspended or expelled which is also experienced by another teacher, Callie Hammond as Laurie, and the school's security guard, Devin Clark as Dun Omari's girlfriend, Rylee Davis as Jasmine is confidentabout her looks but xhallenged about their relationship.
