Seven years ago today, on my birthday, I gave myself the greatest gift I could imagine: the courage to begin a new chapter.

What started as a leap of faith has grown into I Do Illustration LLC, a business built on the belief that the most meaningful gifts aren’t simply given, they’re personalized, thoughtfully curated, and created with intention.

Over the past seven years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of partnering with luxury brands, corporations, private clients, and event professionals to transform ordinary moments into unforgettable keepsakes through live artistry. From hand engraving and painting to leather personalization, live calligraphy, embroidery, illustration, and so much more, every piece I create carries a story, because every guest deserves to feel seen.

There have been long days, late nights, unexpected challenges, and moments when I questioned the path. But there have also been extraordinary opportunities, lifelong friendships, remarkable clients, and countless moments that reminded me I was exactly where I was meant to be.

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who have shaped our lives with their love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Today, I’m especially thinking of my dad.

A family friend recently sent me an old photograph of the two of us, and it immediately became one of my most treasured possessions. My dad was always the one behind the camera, capturing every milestone, celebration, and ordinary moment worth remembering. Because of that, I have surprisingly few photos with him. This image is a gift beyond words.

While he’s no longer here, he’s forever in my heart. Seeing that photograph reminded me just how powerful a single image can be. Photographs preserve stories, relationships, and moments that become even more precious with time.
